A million words have been written about the Olympics, so I doubt I can say anything new except one thing:  Why do these hardworking Olympic athletes who have trained for years get up on the medals podium and get handed... a cabbage?  Or is that broccoflower?
I'm just askin'.

Pigs are flying in Iowa.  It seems the bald eagles are so hungry this winter that they're flying down and grabbing little three pound piglets from some hog farms.  The Register had a story on it today.  Weird.  Wish they'd carry the deer away while they're at it.

As if flying pigs aren't enough, it's been about a year since those Bigfoot sightings in SE Iowa.  If the eagles and deer are hungry, so are those critters, so be on the lookout for the big hairy guys running around.
